Yakovlev, Alexey

Alexey Yakovlev (also spelled Aleksei Iakovlev) received his B.Sc. in physics in 2014 (at the N.I. Lobachevsky State University, Nizhny Novgorod), and his M.Sc. in radiophysics at the same university in 2016. In March 2021, Alexey received his PhD in laser physics at the Institute of Applied Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences.

During 2014-2021 his research was focused on developing high-power lasers and Faraday rotators and studying thermal effects and magneto-optical properties of crystals, glass, and ceramics. In December 2021, he joined the High-Power Laser Development Team within the Ultrafast Optics and X-Ray Division as a postdoc.
