June 26, 2014: Alexander von Humboldt fellow Dr. Alireza Yahaghi arrived at CFEL

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Alireza Yahaghi was granted a Georg Forster Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers from Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in February 2014. Alireza Yahaghi graduated with a Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from Shiraz University in Iran in 2010. This fellowship will enable him to carry out research at the Center for Free-Electron Laser Science at DESY until March 31, 2016. His research will focus on the simulation and design of optical field emitters forhigh brightness electron beams within the ERC Synergy Grant Project AXSIS.
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation promotes academic cooperation between excellent scientists and scholars from abroad and from Germany.
